We are approaching Pacific Grove, a lovely community located
south of Monterey.

Compare the map with the landscape in the background. We
are approaching
Pacific Grove after passing Monterey Bay (remember: we are flying south,
so turn the map upside down in your head).

My 'workspace'. Wouldn't I love to obtain a pilote license
one of these days and just fly...

Here we are flying over Avila
Beach. This town has an interesting though unhappy history
regarding
its abuse by an oil company. Reportedly Avila has been cleaned
up, and the fish
that you can buy at the end of this peer is just awesome.
Sorry for the picture quality - my camera probably got confused...

We are approaching Oceano, just about 500 feet from the
ground. The engine
is throttled, and we are almost gliding. An eerie feeling, and
exciting at the same time.
By the way - the fog that you are seeing on the horizon is real,
and it is moving in fast.

After we landed this nice plane with a piston engine came
in. Talk about seduction.
