Big Basin Redwood State Park

Big Basin Redwoods State Park is California's oldest State Park, established in 1902.
Home to the largest continuous stand of ancient coast redwoods south of San Francisco,
the park consists of over 18,000 acres of old growth and recovering redwood forest,
with mixed conifer, oaks, chaparral, and riparian habitats. Elevations in the
park vary from sea level to over 2,000 feet. The climate ranges from foggy and damp
near the ocean to sunny, warm ridge tops. (Isn't it nice that I can just copy stuff from their website?)

Me as a tourist in front of a cross-section of a Leberwurst... err, redwood tree.

Maria tossing trees. How often have I told her not to...

This tree was making faces at us...

My new Tipi: No Windows, no Gates and an Apache inside (well, almost...).
The above is a Linux gag. If you don't get it ask me.

Picture this: In the middle of a redwood forest in the Santa Cruz mountains you find a caucasian band
playing carribean tunes on steel drums while the mostly Indian audience is listening.
Is this international or what?

Nice shirt, dude...

Seems like this fallen tree is more interesting to the kids than the concert.
